Tea Cupping: Sri Lankan Golden Tips
Tea: Golden Tips (Lumini)
Origin: Deniyaya, Sri Lanka
Steep time: 5 Minutes
Temperature: Boiling 210
Where to buy: This was a sample - not available for wholesale (yet)
Certifications: Member of Ethical Tea Partnership
Music to cup with this tea: Fields of Gold (re make by Eva Cassidy)
The dry leaf smells quite reminiscent of cocoa or slightly chocolate, but this does not appear in the cup. The liquor is smooth and tending slightly smokey. This is very similar to Yunnan Gold. Earthy-sweet. The leaf is exquisite and very interesting. I believe this would be a great retail seller based on looks alone. Cupping is soothing and really suites the mild-mood, not in need of a deep dark cup.
